Rosemary Daniels and new book, “From Me Too to Me Two”

iUniverse author Rosemary Daniels tells us about her moving and extremely meaningful book, From Me Too to Me Two.

Please briefly describe your book . . .

My book, “From Me Too to Me Two, is an inspirational and motivational book that encourages women who have been violated in some manner, to rise up and overcome.  My book focuses on young girls and women who have suffered in silence, to the hand of an abuser or violator.  I want these ladies to know and understand that what happened to them doesn’t define who they are, but it helps us become better.  We are many, having similar, yet different experiences.  Together we can impact future generations.

And can you tell us a little about yourself?

I am a woman who sees myself in a lot of these women and girls.  I am a fighter and I overcame.  I grew up in the projects of New Orleans, Louisiana.  I have four beautiful granddaughters, who look to me for wisdom and guidance. I will give them all of me and more of God. I persevered only by the Grace of God. I am also the Founder a girl’s ministry called D.O.L.L.S. (Daughters of the Lord Living Sanctified) a life changing ministry since 1998.  My life hasn’t been smooth, but it is rewarding despite the obstacles.

Do you have any particular literary influences? What inspired you to write your book?

I was inspired to write this book when I saw women coming forward about their truth, and I remembered that I had similar truths early in life.  I remembered the pain, embarrassment, and silent suffering.  I had empathy for these women and girls.  I want to bless them to move on and go forward.

What is the one message you would like to convey to your readers?

I would like to convey to my readers that we all may have something tucked away that has bothered or hindered us in some way, but healing and confidence is a gift to you from God. It’s yours and it’s free!

Are you working on a sequel?

I am not working on a sequel at this time, but never say never.  I wish for my book to reach the masses as a comforting tool as well as a ministry of healing.  I hope my book is used for teaching in churches, schools, and many other public forums.  I hope the women and girls of the # Me Too Movement will read my book and I hope it touches you in some way to bring you out of this valley into a mountain top experience. I would like to someday connect with some of the #Me Too leaders.  I plan to do a book signing in the near future.  Congratulations, women, rise up and move forward!
