Anthony Nwachukwu tells us about The 50 Steps to Happy Marriage, his new book published through iUniverse.
Please briefly describe your book . . .
My book, The 50 Steps to Happy Marriage: A Life Positioning System — LPI, is about the right course of actions when choosing a life partner or engaging in any form of relationship.
And can you tell us a little about yourself?
I am a Catholic priest, from Ahiara Diocese of Nigeria, once appointed a Judge in the Marriage Tribunal of the same Diocese, primarily because of my contributions on the subject: “Marriage”. Though, I hold double doctoral degrees in Religion and Psychology respectively, I have published more than 15 scholarly works, given numerous talks around Nigeria and beyond. Nothing gives me joy than seeing people live in peace with one another, bearing in mind that happiness is a personal choice.
Do you have any particular literary influences? What inspired you to write your book?
My love for others has been the principal factor that motivates and energizes my literary occupation. As noted, relationship is basic to life and whatever contributions I can make to impact harmony in people’s relationships remains my inspiration.
What is the one message you would like to convey to your readers?
Truth is indisputable and incontrovertible! And love must be visible, pretending to love someone facially and, at the same time sabotaging him or her is eternally bad, while genuine relationship is self-rewarding. Keep respecting and loving others for who they are and not for the ways you would want them to be. Only God is the Perfect Judge!
Are you working on a sequel to your book?
Right now, my emphasis is to get this present book across every nook and cranny of society. People’s reactions determine where next I go from here.
Are there any events, marketing ideas, or promotions planned for your book?
So far, the availability of the book determines where we go from here. Of course, efforts must be made to seek a wider audience to acquaint them with the effervescent impact and life positioning system of this book on society.
What was your favorite part of your publishing experience, overall and with iUniverse?
iUniverse is comparable to none, my experience with her, superb! She is the best publishing company I have known, after a detailed study of other publishers.
Finally, what advice would you give to aspiring authors?
Good market sells itself, my people normally say! Let other aspiring authors simply consult the books being published by iUniverse and compare them with those published outside, the difference will always be clear.
