iUniverse author Gino Bumeliani tells us about The Babbling Brook and what inspired him to write.
Please briefly describe your book . . .
The Babbling Brook is a love story about two children and their families. How they enrich each others lives through friendship and love. Through heart ships and happiness, they are always there for each other.
And can you tell us a little about yourself?
Most people would be surprised that I wrote a love story. I don’t come across as a guy that would have a love story to tell. I think most people that know me would imagine me writing comedy.
What inspired you to write your book? Do you have any particular literary influences?
The love of the outdoors and running water is what inspired me to write this book. I have always been a fan of James Patterson and the suspense he creates with his writing.
What is the one message you would like to convey to your readers?
The one message I would like to convey to my readers is to live life to the fullest and always dream.
Are there any events, marketing ideas, or promotions planned for your book?
I do not have any events set for my book. This is my first book and I plan on using social media as much as possible and bringing the book to local book stores to sell myself.
What was your favorite part of your publishing experience, overall and with iUniverse?
My favorite part of the publishing experience with iUniverse was dealing with my consultant. He was always there to answer any questions or concerns I had.
Finally, what advice would you give to aspiring authors?
The advice I would give to aspiring authors is don’t be afraid to fail. You will never succeed if you don’t try, and having a good wife to help you along the way is key! ?
