Last month, iUniverse Publishing asked you to share with us which is the book that inspires you to write the most and why?
A big thank you goes to all our entrants for the May Author Challenge. Entries included books by some of the giants of the literary world such as Miller and Steinbeck; classics such as Gone with the Wind to an inspirational family memoir, however after careful consideration, we have decided that our winner is Willy Nywening, who chose Snowflake by Paul Gallico as her most inspirational book with the summation of her reasoning speaking for itself:-
“in so many ways, Snowflake’s unpretentious journey is a metaphor that emulates our reality. Her quiet, valiant responses to life’s inevitable challenges always encourage me to reach beyond the mundane to see and touch the phenomenal splendor in my world. When my eyes are open to looking beyond life’s obscurities, I am able to see what Snowflake saw. Then, I am empowered and compelled to write.
Thank you, Mr. Gallico, for your insightful gift of inspiration!”
Congratulations to Ms Nywening and many, many thanks for all the excellent entries.
Look out for the June Author challenge which will be featured on the iUniverse blog and in our upcoming Footnotes newsletter.
